Year in Review: Best Reads of 2023

 

I never regret reading anything David Sedaris puts out, and this one was no different. I constantly re-play episodes of the This American Life (podcast) that he has appeared on.

A fast moving, greatly paced thriller.

This one, too! I will never look at taxidermy or time travel in quite the same way, ever again.

This book was such a great gift during a year when my travel options were limited. Eloisa James in an amazing writer!

As far as cookbooks go,

This was chock full of delicious ideas for homemade veggie burgers!

I also really enjoyed From Freezer to table; it helped me to think of cooking in terms of prep in advance, which is especially helpful with my food allergies and sensitivities.

I hope Natasha Lester writes many more books; I found this story so engaging and the characters compelling. Highly recommended!
